KCNQ1OT1 epigenetically inhibits ferroptosis. It recruits the methyltransferase MLL4 to the TRABD promoter, increasing H3K4 methylation and TRABD expression. Inhibition of KCNQ1OT1 (e.g. by ZC3H13-mediated m6A) restores ferroptosis. KCNQ1OT1 drives chemoresistance and growth in TNBC.
